About RHRMBC

RHR has formed as a response to a collective motivation to preserve the unique riding options we have in the Red Hill area. With the limited road side trail network in place there is a need to get organized, promote responsible mountain biking, and position our selves as a legitimate trail user group.
With a dramatic increase in riders in the area, comes a genuine opportunity to develop an alliance with all the user groups, and land managers. Together we have the potential to create a truly unique natural tourism industry and in doing so expand our riding experience.

Our goals being to:

● Improve relations between user groups.

● Support volunteer trail work and assist land managers with trail maintenance to enhance the existing trails.

● Create more fun sustainable trails in the area, with a long term plan of a comprehensive trail network that will become a major draw card for the community, tourism, and us, the riders.

Mission statement

The club will be known as the Red Hill riders mountain bike club.
The aim of the club is to organise weekly rides for mountain bike riders of varying ability in a safe and responsible manner. The location of Red Hill will be the core meeting place on Sunday mornings. It is the responsibility of all riders to nurture the younger or less experienced riders and to educate riders in riding to the IMBA code. In the future it is hoped that the club be directly involved in the creation and maintenance of a system of trails in the Arthurs Seat State park and organise and coordinate local mountain bike race events in the nearby trails.

Trails and Development
Red Hill Riders are looking at the prospects of a number of trails in the Mornington Peninsula Region. We are happy to publicly announce our interest in the North face of Red Hill, in an area that the council have earmarked for mountain bike trails. We are closely working with the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council and Parks Victoria in and effort to get numerous trails opened and recognised.
